Dr. Kennth Carey is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon with extensive training in Facial Trauma, Reconstructive Surgery, and surgical and non-surgical cosmetic therapies.
A native of Idaho, Dr. Carey received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Idaho State University. He then completed training at Oregon Health and Science University obtaining his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. While there he received numerous scholarships and was awarded the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Student Award for outstanding achievement in undergraduate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Carey continued his training through the United States Army where he commissioned as an Officer and completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg North Carolina. While there, he received extensive training in Facial Trauma and Reconstruction and served as Chief Resident. While there, he also became board certified through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the highest qualification an OMS can receive. He also served as Program Director of the Residency Training Program and as the Unit Anesthesia and Sedation Officer.
With aspirations in mind to become an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, his education was far from over.
Dr. Carey is a active Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a member of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology, Nebraska Oral Surgery Association, American Dental Society, and Nebraska Dental Association.
Dr. Carey currently resides in Kearney, Nebraska where he is in private practice. He holds hospital privileges at Kearney Regional Medical Center and Grand Island Regional Medical Center. When asked about his greatest blessings in life he will tell you that it is his 4 amazing children Maddie, Katie, Cole and Logan. He enjoys riding motorcycles and hunting elk. He considers himself a patriot having served in the military. He also feels it a blessing to live in a country where rights are guaranteed by a sacred Constitution and that each of us has a duty to uphold that Constitution.
